what to expect


Once we select a date a $50 retainer ($75 for Red Truck sessions) is due to confirm your booking. The remainder is due the day before the shoot.

Before the Shoot:
Please arrive camera-ready. Take a full photo of your outfit beforehand to ensure you like how it photographs.
I can handle minor edits (pimples, bruises, etc.), but no full face/outfit cleanups unless previously discussed. Please lint roll your outfit and make sure you love your look!
Deep editing requests will incur a small fee.

During the Shoot:
I’m here to capture your family’s unique connections. If there are any differences, disabilities, or dynamics I should be aware of, please let me know in advance—I’ll do everything I can to help each person shine!

Please remove sunglasses a few minutes before our shoot to avoid marks, and avoid transitional glasses as they’ll photograph dark.
Leave belongings in the car if possible, so we can focus on capturing moments without distractions. I can hold keys and phones in my camera bag.

After the Shoot:
You’ll receive your gallery within a week.
I choose the final photos for editing (except for headshots/branding), but you’ll be able to select your allotted amount and purchase additional images if desired.
Galleries are live on my website for a limited time so please download your images. You will receive an email when the gallery is set to expire. Once it expires, I charge a $50 photo recovery fee if i have your photos but it is not guaranteed that i will keep your photos indefinitely. 
I reserve the right to use/post all images for my portfolio, website, and social media. If you’re uncomfortable with this, just let me know.

Important Policies:
I’m a natural light photographer, so we must shoot on time to ensure proper lighting. If you cancel within three days of the shoot or are more than 15 minutes late, you forfeit your session fee and will be charged to reschedule.
I’ll work with you to find a solution if you communicate your needs in advance. Please note, I have less flexibility during October and November.
